A Vintage Miracle jewellery Pendant decorated with green enamelling and Faux Connemara marble. The centre is carved with a very intricate interlaced serpent.

MIRACLE JEWELLERY
A leading jewellery design company specialising in Celtic, Scottish and Irish designs. The company originated in Birmingham, started by A. Hill and Company in 1946. Their creations were taken from Celtic history, Scottish agate jewellery, Charles Rennie MacKintosh designs and other historical inspiration. They used Sterling Silver or Pewter with reproductions of semi precious stones from bohemian glass. Miracle closed it's Birmingham operation in 2013 and was taken over by St.Justin of Cornwall. Their range at present is quite small and older pieces of Miracle that are no longer made are very collectable.
ZOOMORPHIC (animal forms)
Images of animals, birds and imaginary creatures are often found in Celtic Art intertwined in knotwork. Birds and snakes are quite common but hounds, horses, deer, lions and boars are found too.
Snake/Serpent
The serpent design is often seen on Celtic artifacts and can represent rebirth and immortality as a snake sheds it's skin repeatedly. Often a snake is represented eating it's own tail and this is called an 'ouroboros', a sign of infinity and the cycle of life.
