Product Description
HISTORY
The Order of Calatrava was one of four Spanish military orders and first to be founded in Castile. This order of monks/knights occupied a castle of that name in the 12th century and fought against the Moors. The Heraldic cross was worn on their armour and shields. It is a red (gules) cross with Fleur-de-lys ends. Most of their power ended in the 15th century.
