HISTORY
The harp is a National symbol of Ireland featured on the old Irish flag and the Irish Coat of Arms. (Also, on the British Coat of Arms and not to mention a famous Irish beer).
Some believe that the strings of the harp represent the arms of the king. One of the oldest surviving Irish harps from the 15th Century is on display in the Long Room of Trinity College, Dublin. It is known as the Brian Boru, one of the early Irish kings, or O'Neill harp.
