ROBIN HOOD – Fact or Fiction
Robin Hood is a legendary figure portrayed as an heroic outlaw who stole from the rich and gave to the poor, hiding in Sherwood Forest which covered much of Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire. He is portrayed as a skilled archer and swordsmen and his adversary was the Sheriff of Nottingham. Over the centuries there have been many poems, books and plays written about his exploits, and in the past century many films.
