Product Description
LEGEND
The spectacular Giant's Causeway in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, was said to be built by Finn McCool (the same Fionn MacCumhaill of the Salmon of Knowledge legend). He built the steps to cross to Scotland and battle with a rival, the giant Benandonner. On realising the giant was so much bigger than himself he quickly returned to Ireland but Benandonner followed. Finn's clever wife dressed Finn up as a baby telling the giant Finn wasn't at home but showed him the baby. Benandonner on seeing the size of the baby decided he didn't want to fight with Finn as he must be huge. He returned quickly to Scotland ripping up the stone steps on his way. All that remained was the Giant's Causeway in Ireland and similar formations on the Isle of Staffa, Scotland, (including the amazing Fingal's cave made famous by the beautiful music of Felix Mendelsohn).
