Product Description
HISTORY
Hnefatafl was a popular game from Scandinavia at the time of the so called Dark Ages, about the 5th to 10th Centuries. It is similar to Chess. The name 'Hnefatalf' translates to 'King's Table'. The object of the game is for the enemy army to catch the King. The King has 12 defenders but the enemy consists of 24 soldiers. The game comes with full instructions. The board is made from natural linen to reflect the Viking era with much of their clothing made from linen from the flax that grows in Northern climates.
