HISTORY
The interlaced serpent design is common in Viking workmanship of the 9th and 10th Centuries seen both in Scandinavia and The British Isles. It's relevance is open to interpretation as much of Celtic Art. Possibly it represents the continuity of life, or the struggle between Paganism and Christianity.
