Product Description
HISTORY
Strathearn is the strath (valley) of the River Earn in Perthshire, Scotland.
On the day of Prince William's marriage, 29th April 2011, to Kate Middleton he was created the Earl of Strathearn as well as the Duke of Cambridge. Since then the Countess of Strathearn has been seen wearing the district's tartan.
The Earl or Mormaer of Strathearn is an ancient title of Scottish nobility dating back to the 1100's AD. The title has become extinct over the centuries and re-instated several times and Queen Elizabeth II reinstated it again at the wedding of William and Kate.
