LEGEND
Owls are common throughout the British Isles in particular the Barn Owl.
Many mythologies through out the world regard the owl as a protector and a creature of wisdom, but not in The British Isles. English folklore regards the owl as a bird of doom as it was only seen at night and was thought to predict death. In the Middle Ages the owl was known as a companion to witches and consequently feared.
