HISTORY

QUATREFOIL
A stylised design of a four petaled flower or leaf often found in Medieval Church Architecture and Heraldry. It is sometimes said to be derived from a primrose , one of the first flowers of Spring, signifying renewal. Church architects regarded it as a sign of Peace and Immortality whereas the TREFOIL is a three leafed design is a symbol of the Trinity.
